Half Lotus Twists to Splits This Vinyasa Yoga flow starts in Half Lotus pose. The left foot is
placed over the right thigh. The hands are placed down behind the
back on the mat. The palms can be flat on the mat or you can place
the ball points of the fingers down. The hands should be angled so
that the shoulders open and don't feel compressed.
Exhale twist to the left. Use the right arm behind you to help with
the twist.
Inhale as you exit the posture and then exhale into the twist the
opposite way.
Exhale as you leave the twist once again then open the legs and take
the hands back behind you. Exhale as you get set up then inhale and
really open the chest.
Exhale down into a forward bend.
Repeat the same sequence the opposite way. This time doing
Lotus pose or Half Lotus pose the opposite
way.
