Ardha Bheka Parsva Sarvangasana

Translation: Half Frog Side Shoulderstand Pose

In the Shoulderstand pose twist the legs 45 degrees then bend one leg and grab the foot. Place the foot into the hip or slightly into the side of the body. Extend the other leg diagonally out.

This is one of the most challenging Side Shoulderstand variations. It is challenging to enter and hold.

The knees and quadriceps have to be flexible to enter this pose.

Create space around the neck for the elements to flow.



Opposite you can see a higher version of this pose. You may find this version easier.

A lot of the weight falls upon the supporting arms wrist and elbow. If you feel too much strain come out of the pose.
