Basic Order Sequencing Tutorial Example
Below is an explanation of a method of yoga sequencing called Basic Order Sequencing. The postures have been given numbers so that patterns become more visible. There is a video clip you can study and also other patterns are mentioned below.

The Postures involved.
1. Kapotasana (pigeon)
2. Parivrtta Janu Sirsasana (revolved knee to head)
3. Janu Sirsasana (knee to head)

See Video Clip Download this 2 minute clip (Size 1.5mb).
The sequence is 1a-1b-2b-2a-3b-3a

Try these sequences. They are still using the Basic Order Sequencing method but slightly different. 1a-1b-2b-2a-3a-3b you may find 2a and 3a blend better.

You could always work backward and up to the pose called kapotasana for instance. 3a-3b-2b-2a-1a-1b. You would find the transition from 2a to 1a easy and close to enter.
