Home Yoga Practice Tips

This yoga sequence begins with Pigeon Pose. Hold it for up to 8 breaths.

The left leg can be taken out to the left which is very easy if you lan over to the right hip on the transition into. Hold for up to 5 breaths.

Then enter Pigeon Pose the opposite way. This time the left leg is bent. Hold for the same amount of time. It is an option to hold for longer if this side is tighter or hold for a little less time if this side is more flexible. This should be the approach to many poses that need to be done on both sides and will lead to balance in the bodies muscles.

Then enter Parivrttta Janu Sirsasana with an exhalation. This is a great lateral stretch and also stretches teh hamstrings.

In this sequence 2 yoga postures are done then the same 2 are done the opposite way. Then the third is done one way and then th other. There are many ways to do this flow. You could do all 3 poses on one side and then all 3 poses in the same order on the other. Janu Sirsasana
