Utthita Trikonasana (16 to 24 breaths)

Trikona means 3 angle.

It is quite hard to keep the hips completely sideways. They have a tendency to roll in the way.

Push the skin on the outside of the heel on the back leg to the floor so that the conscious mind is extended into this area.

If your feel uncomfortable in the posture bend the knees a little and move around. Sometimes a little movement is all your body needed.

If the hand cannot reach the floor (most of us) then place it on the forward leg.
